Hear from Temple Grandin:

Temple Grandin's life has been a fascinating, unique journey, and Dr. Grandin will be on campus Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Doudna Fine Arts Center for a firsthand account of her amazing story. A doctor of animal science and professor at Colorado State University, Grandin is also a bestselling author and subject of an award-winning biographical film focusing on her many accomplishments after being diagnosed with autism during early childhood.

Grandin's visit is sponsored by EIU's Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences along with the Center for the Humanities and the Doudna Fine Arts Center. All proceeds from her visit will fund a new Autism Research Center on campus.

This presentation is a first for the Doudna Fine Arts Center, with two venues already sold out. The third venue is selling briskly, and it's anticipated that ticket sales will be stopped before Sept. 27. Dr. Grandin's presentation will be in the Dvorak Concert Hall and fed via closed-circuit hookup to the two overflow venues. All remaining tickets for the overflow location are only $10; you can call the Doudna box office at 217-581-3110 or email for ticket information.
